GUILDERLAND, NY: CeCe’s Wool Yarns and More has expanded into additional space at the Hamilton Square Mall in Guilderland, NY, that is dedicated to classes, workshops and social knitting/crafting. SCHENECTADY, NY: Sizz Handmade, owned by Sarah Boink, sells weaving kits which includes monthly virtual workshops, video tutorials, and step-by-step instructions. Sizz Handmade is an online fiber shop offering unique weaving kits with support for busy people searching for balance and inspiration. For beginners, for fun, for children and adults. SARATOGA, NY: Weaving classes taught by Nancy Sharples.  Held at the Saratoga Art Center, 320 Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY.  For both the beginner and experienced weaver, this class focuses on the diversity of weaving techniques. Working on a 4 or 8 harness floor, projects might include a wall hanging, scarf, table runner, or small rug.  The Art Center is open at scheduled times for additional weaving. SARATOGA, NY: Weaving classes at Textile Studio. We have several traditional Macomber multi-harness (8-16 harness) floor looms and lots of gorgeous yarns to choose from for your individual project. If you’re a beginner, we will teach you how to warp and weave enjoyably and efficiently! If you have some experience, tell us what skills you’d like to improve on and we will tailor instruction to suit your needs. Project ideas include a scarf, table runner, dresser scarf, or weave sampler (for those with weaving experience interested in color and weave effect). We have taught many people/employees over the last 20 years in business and love to train new weavers! CAMBRIDGE, NEW YORK: Stephanie Morton teaches weaving in her converted hayloft studio in Coila (Cambridge), New York. She studied ethnic textiles at Friend's World College in the early 1970's and started teaching handweaving in the 1990's.  Before moving to New York in 2017 she taught students and did production weaving for fiber farmers in Connecticut.  Stephanie focuses most of her energy on rug weaving, followed by blanket weaving, using wool, cotton and alpaca grown locally or in the USA. Classes are primarily focused on producing a finished, useful article using the best traditional techniques. Stephanie is also a traditionally trained natural dyer and uses both local and traditional dyestuffs in her work. ALTAMONT, NY: The Spinning Room occasionally has classes in rigid heddle weaving or spinning. Private instruction is also available.

CATSKILL, NY: Catskill Weaving School is an artist-run school that offers in-person and online weaving and weaving-related workshops. Course offerings include: Introduction to Weaving, Intermediate / Advanced Weaving, Introduction to Drafting, and Advanced Drafting.

LAKE LUZERNE, NY: The Adirondack Folk School offers classes in the arts, crafts and culture of the Adirondack region.  Located in Lake Luzerne, NY, fibers arts classes are included in the roster.

LAKE PLACID, NY: The Lake Placid Center for the Arts offers weaving classes, some taught by members of the Hudson-Mohawk Weavers’ Guild.

NORTHAMPTON, MA: WEBS offers weaving classes in-person and by Zoom.

WILLIAMSBURG, MA: Snow Farm, the New England Craft Program.  Classes and workshops in many different mediums, including textile arts.

SHELBURNE FALLS, MA: Vavstuga Weaving School - Swedish style weaving school in Western MA.  Also sells Glimakra looms and equipment and yarns by Bockens and Borg.  

MARSHFIELD, VT: Marshfield School of Weaving is the nation's foremost school for textile techniques used in early America and 18th century Britain.  The school is situated in a 19th century barn overlooking the hills of central Vermont, and students work exclusively with 18th and 19th century looms and other antique tools.  The curriculum now includes techniques from other cultures from around the world, and in addition to weaving we offer classes in spinning, dyeing, printing and knitting.

HARTFORD CT: The Hartford Artisans Weaving Center enriches lives through the craft of handweaving in a supportive and creative community. The artisan program at the Center works with people who have low or no vision and those age 55 or older. The Center sells the handwovens made by the artisans and holds weaving classes and workshops to the general public throughout the year. Proceeds from the classes support the artisan program and the Weaving Center. They include all levels of floor loom and rigid heddle weaving as well as additional classes including our summer workshops. They are an authorized Schacht loom dealer and have a rotating selection of used looms and equipment for purchase. 

MIDDLEFIELD, OH: Conover Workshops - Susan Conover offers classes in a wide range of fiber arts disciplines. Classes include double-width weave, 8 shaft twill, walking wheel, and hand towels with hanging loop.
